In keeping with the sanctity and glory of the Holy Shrine, various Poojans, Havans and religious rituals are performed here. Some of these are performed daily while others are periodical in nature. On the persistent requests of the devotees and keeping in view their sentiments, it has been decided to permit the pilgrims to participate in some of these poojans in a limited way.

There are currently two types of Poojans open to the devotees at the Holy Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji.

SHRADHA SUMAN VISHESH PUJA
This Pooja is for the devotees desirous of attending Aarti Darshan of the Holy Goddess.

The following are the conditions :-

No refund shall be allowed. If after making payments Yatri is not interested the same shall be considered as donation.

Change of dates can be accepted but only on next available slots.

New dates should not be beyond one month of the date for which change request has been made.

Change of Slots shall be accepted, if this is intimated at least 48 hours in advance to the Manger Enquiry and reservation Shakti Bhawan Niharika, Katra at 01991-234053,232887.

INDIVIDUAL POOJANS
Every day, as a part of the Poojan, a Havan is performed in the Yagyashalla. Desirous Yatries are allowed to participate in this Havan and the name, gotra etc. of the desirous person(s) are chanted and prayers offered for their welfare and prosperity. A variant of this Poojan is also allowed whereby the devotee need not be physically present. The Poojan is performed in his name and the Prashad is sent to him by post.
